Reflections about the application of psychological knowledge: What or how to apply?

Abstract

The state of psychology as a knowledge discipline is examined. Some reflections are made about the application of psychological knowledge, taking into account: a) the nature of knowledge being applied, b) the translation of analytic knowledge typical of basic science, c) the stages required to apply psychological knowledge, d) the recovery of ordinary language, e) the valued nature of social problems, f) the systematization of procedures, and g) the multi- and interdisciplinary application of psychological knowledge.
