La gobernanza de las migraciones transnacionales china y mexicana hacia Estados Unidos: los nexos entre la Diáspora y el Estado creativo para el codesarrollo

Resumen

Las diásporas china y mexicana en Estados Unidos comparten rasgos fundamentales: son históricas y continuas, difieren étnica y culturalmente del núcleo de la sociedad local, sus migrantes tienen una condición irregular, forman enclaves étnicos en las periferias del país y, sobre todo, los migrantes han desarrollado prácticas transnacionales para vincularse con su país de origen. Este trabajo explora los distintos tipos de articulación de las diásporas de China y México con la migración transnacional y la gobernanza en aras del codesarrollo, en donde contrastan los ejes estratégicos, el grupo de migrantes al que se enfoca prioritariamente, el tipo de políticas públicas diseñadas para atenderlos y la sostenibilidad del modelo.

Estefanía Cruz Lera es doctora en Ciencias Políticas, Política Pública y Relaciones Internacionales por la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, así como maestra y licenciada en Estudios Internacionales por la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Actualmente se desempeña como investigadora de tiempo completo en el Centro de Investigaciones sobre América del Norte (CISAN) de la UNAM, donde desarrolla el proyecto de investigación “Minorías políticas y el diseño legislativo en Estados Unidos: ¿Agentes de disrupción o cambio?”. Sus líneas de investigación son incorporación de minorías políticas y sistema político.
