Interés, reconocimiento y victimismo en las luchas sociales. Una observación crítica a la teoría de Axel Honneth

Resumen
Axel Honneth es mundialmente conocido por su concepción de los conflictos sociales como luchas morales por el reconocimiento. Sin embargo, su propuesta se apoya en una distinción entre conflictos por interés y conflictos por reconocimiento, la cual no es tan clara como su modelo sugiere. En este artículo exponemos que el carácter problemático de esta distinción implica que la lógica del reconocimiento reivindicada por este autor es vulnerable no solo a estrategias de dominación (crítica que se le hace habitualmente), sino también a actitudes de falso victimismo, tanto conscientes como inconscientes. Este análisis de la teoría de Honneth permite concluir que, para alcanzar el potencial crítico al que aspira, dicha teoría debe desarrollar un criterio empírico suficientemente sólido para definir el estatus social de “víctima”, un principio que no puede ser aportado únicamente por el psicoanálisis. De lo contrario, esta propuesta podría resultar apropiada como modelo puramente descriptivo, pero no como herramienta crítica.
