Call for papers Special issue Keynes at ninety years

The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money turns ninety. Keynes’s is no small feat. Most of the books that were once hailed as revolutionary now gather dust on seminar shelves; this one doesn’t. It remains the subject of active debate among economists who are convinced they understand it and, in many cases, disagree with each other about exactly what it says.

Ola Financiera invites researchers to submit original contributions for a special issue commemorating two dates: the ninetieth anniversary of the publication of the General Theory and the eightieth anniversary of its author’s death. The issue seeks not celebration but discussion. Nor does it aim to settle any outstanding issues with the text; rather, it prefers to open new ones.

Within this framework, we seek to publish a unique, original, and well-founded approach from the perspective of John Maynard Keynes’s General Theory and the heterodox perspective, in order to offer a space for reflection on current issues. Therefore, the journal Ola Financiera cordially invites the international academic community to join us in this endeavor and participate by submitting original and unpublished articles for inclusion in our Vol. 20 No. 56, January-April 2027.
