Abstract

In this essay the scene of capital movements outlined in the form of foreign direct investment (FDI) to India between 2000 and 2012 and their potential macroeconomic impact. The study is part of the process of globalization that since late last century has taken place, characterized by recurrent crisis, the slowdown of capital accumulation in the developed countries and the rise of new players in this field. Under this environment, economic inequalities remain in force between developed and developing countries, while a significant increase in capital flows among these countries is recorded.
