John B. Watson: El conductismo y la fundación de una psicología científica

Abstract

The central role of John B. Watson in the foundation of a scientific psychology is considered. Some common misunderstandings about Watson's general position on the problem of consciousness and similar problems are demonstrated. It is also examined the reformulation of the subject-matter and method of psychology from his criticism to introspection. It is emphasized the evolutionary and evolutive framework of Watson's theory and the variety of psychological contents included in the proposal of the new behavioristic science.
