Abstract

Gustavo Vega-Delgado, Ecuadorian academic and researcher, sharply criticizes the present situation in Ecuador, a country in which, according to him, "reason has lost its reason," except among the economic elites of the country, which with each disturbance, rebellion or popular revolution distribute sinecures and privileges. His denouncing this fact leads to a proposal: the need to exhume the solidarity in order to be able to face the existing chaos, remembering that in the Andes, solidarity meant reciprocity just as "Ayllu" meant joint production and consumption.
