Abstract

“The history of civilizations is the history of human migrations”, according to the Spanish Anthropologist Tomás Calvo Buezas, who contextualizes the phenomenon of today´s international migrations within the worldwide processes of economic globalization, social inequality and demographic imbalance. After reviewing predictions for the future, he centers his analysis on the case of the Latino-Hispanics in the USA, denouncing the evident racism of instruments of law such as the recently promulgated Law SB 1070 in Arizona.
