The curse which condemned empires

Abstract

The Bolivian writer, Rafael Bautista S. X-rays in this article the current world situation, by establishing an analogy between the crisis of the U.S. ”empire” and impacts upon different empires of the past, starting with the Egyptians. His thesis is that the crisis affecting the world system is not only financial, but a crisis of civilization, which shakes the very basis of capitalism and creates the conditions for the rise of a multipolar order.
