Abstract

Summary

Sexual Dysfunctions (SD) are a complex and a frequent reason for medical consultation; it is very common that doctors are unaware of them or are limited to treat them. There are still taboos on the subject of sexuality by both patients and doctors. Much of the population who consults the doctor for this reason suffers other pathologies that may interfere with their sexual activity or if they are undergoing pharmacological treatment alterations may be secondary to the use of the same drugs. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of the SD allow an improvement in the quality of life of patients - not only at an individual level - but also this improvement has repercussions on the couple and the family.
