Eosinophilic Colitis in Primary Care: Concerning a Chronic Diarrhea Case Colitis eosinofílica
Main Article Content
Abstract
Eosinophilic gastroenteritis is a group of diseases that represent a diagnostic challenge for primary care health professionals, and even for gastroenterologists and pathologists. In this text we report the case of a 58-year-old woman with a clinical picture of chronic diarrhea of approximately thirty years of evolution, with no established etiology or response to previous therapies. After a complementary study with colonoscopy, plus multiple biopsies with histopathological analysis, the presence of eosinophilic colitis was determined.
