Abstract

This article examines historical developement of agricultureand characerizes the diversity found among rural producers in Oaxaca. Modern productive systems combine ancestral practices which, over time, have incorporated autochthonous elements with technologies, species, and organizational models introduces by the spaniards and the technologies of the green revolution.
