Abstract

Introduction: One of the key roles in professional nursing is "CAREGIVER" something learned during our training as professionals, an aspect that must be carried out hoslisticamente. The research sought answers to patients who are receiving direct treatment of these staff, to obtain perspectives on the care and the quality of care in this profession is vital. Methodological framework: A qualitative research that takes the phenomenological method. It implements a Semi-structured Interview Guide Questions and biographical matter of perception to get the gist of our object of study. Analyzing the results using the method of Richard Krueger. Results: Taking into account that the object of study is the perception of the quality of care received by adult patients by nursing staff, data collection yielded five categories that are dictated by the perceived importance based on the descriptions given by participants interviewed. Where there are conflicting views in the end been showed appropriate care. Discussion: Báez-Hernández (2009) says that the nurse requires sensitivity, intellect, discipline and knowledge to identify and address human needs and opportunities through close contact. To Gaviria Noren, Dora Lucia (2009) nursing has an ethical dimension, "the establishment of empathy and respect for human dignity." All authors fall into the similarity of this attention, focusing on what we find, from a dignified, emotional support and appropriate care to the attitudes that the professional must have to patients.
