Abstract

This paper analyzes the case of Mexico in the use of information requests by journalists and lawyers. The results show that they are the main promoters of access to information legislation in the world, and therefore among its main users, however, with different results, because while the journalistic practice is more refined and with a higher success rate despite the politicization of their requests; the group of lawyers shows a use more limited to the local level, with a lower success rate because some requested documents belong to the category of personal data and require exercising this procedural channel, for this some recommendations are presented.
