Abstract

n this article a comparison between the elements from the beliefs and religious practices is made. It considers two generational, distant age groups: 18 to 24 and 45 to 54 years old. The data used for this analysis was taken from the Survey on Religious Beliefs and Practices in Aguascalientes 2009.

We deduced that the background of the differences found among the groups is constituted by the changes in the city of Aguascalientes in the last 30 or 40 years: immigration, industrialization, urban development and population growth, the abandonment of the rural economy, among many others which allow us to say that, literally, those here considered as the older group, were raised in a context different from the one in the 18 to 24 age group.
