LOSERS AND WINNERS OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract

This article addresses some problems arising from the measures implemented to combat the Covid-19 pandemic: lockdown, unemployment, loss of individual freedoms, business breakdown, and alterations in physical and mental health. In contrast, the groups that have benefited from the pandemic are mentioned: the new millionaires, the billionaires, big tech, and big pharma. Information on the testing of pandemic scenarios carried out by international organizations and institutions is also presented.
