Politics or the art to create and sustain dialogic space. Considerations for improving the quality of democracy in Mexico

Abstract

The author conceives politics as the art of generating and maintaining public space. Where itis possible to achieve consensus on matters of common interest throuhg dialog. She observespolitics blurred in Mexico mainly to the inability to use an open dialog honestly and directly,because the space that should be public is kidnapped by a few people, as a result of the lackof respect for the regulations, intolerance and enforcement, the latter in some cases backedby the threat of losing social peace.
