Foundational times of Mexican local political parties: a periodization

Abstract

The current political structure of contemporary Mexico can not be understood but through an historical analysis of those who form one of its main institutions: political parties. Thereby this paper will present a brief characterization of the national democratic transition process in order to link it up with the parallel genesis of different partisan options at the local level.
