Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the level of Resilient Personality (RP), and its relationship with gender in a sample of 102 aged people assisting to a daytime home, special for this kind of group. Results show that most of them have a middle level of RP and nobody had a low level in this construct. Likewise, results show that men have a significantly higher level of RP than women, detecting the first in challenge and control factors and women in commitment. We suggest to carry out other research with populations of this kind to detect if RP level and gender are related with high and low levels of stress which is a closely linked variable with RP.
