Abstract

The Structural Model of Systemic Family Therapy is an option of analysis and therapeutic intervention based on the premise of family as an open system with patterns of interaction (family structure) that determine the functional relationships among its members. From this perspective, the origin, analysis and treatment of psychological issues are narrowed at the family environment, not at individuals. This paper aims to describe the therapeutic intervention in a family with marital problems and teen misbehavior. The work was based on Structural Model of Systemic Family Therapy. The goals of changing family structure and disappear system symptoms were reached.
