Iván Restrepo Fernández, UNAM

He made professional and specialization in Law and Economics studies in Colombia, Mexico and the United States. He has taught at the Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales of the Universidad Nacional Autonóma de México. He was the first director of the Masters in Industrial Economics from the School of Economics at the National Polytechnic Institute. Coauthor of Agricultural Structure and Agricultural Development in Mexico, winning work of the Special Prize in Economics (1970); coordinator Conflict between town and country in Latin America (1980) and coauthor of Trash: consumption and waste in the Federal District (1982). He was director of the Centre for Ecology and AC Development In 2005 he was awarded the National Prize for Environmental Journalism.
