The Imposition of Digital Space: Architecture and Spatiality

Abstract
Spatiality, a cornerstone for the study of architecture, is undergoing a process of reconfiguration provoked by the domestication of digital space as a new layer of social space. This phenomenon has had profound impacts on people’s habits, presence and interactions due to the condition of simultaneity imposed by the Internet. As a result, today people live between fragments of three superimposed spaces: the architectural, the lived and the digital.
