La inteligencia artificial generativa en la publicación científica y el papel de los editores en revistas de biblioteconomía, ciencias de la información y educación en Hispanoamérica

Resumen

Objetivo: este estudio pretende explorar e identificar las políticas, las directrices y las estrategias de prevención de un grupo de revistas académicas sobre el uso responsable de las herramientas de IAG. Diseño/metodología: se eligieron revistas indexadas en la plataforma SciELO, provenientes de Hispanoamérica, especializadas en ciencias de la información, biblioteconomía y educación. Un total de 43 revistas fueron seleccionadas. Se empleó un análisis de texto como método para extraer y buscar información en los sitios web de las revistas. Resultados: la mayoría de las revistas no informan a los autores y revisores sobre el uso de herramientas de inteligencia artificial generativa. Solo el 12% de las revistas analizadas tienen políticas sobre IAG. De igual forma, solo un 7% tienen directrices claras sobre IA e informan directamente sobre el uso de estas herramientas. Además, solo un 5% indica cómo y cuándo citar una herramienta de IAG. Aunque se le da mucha importancia a la ética de la publicación en la mayoría de las revistas, aún no se relaciona directamente con la IAG. Limitaciones: el estudio se limitó exclusivamente a la información disponible en los sitios web de las revistas. Además, solo se incluyeron revistas de los países latinoamericanos de habla hispana. Originalidad: este estudio evidencia y proporciona un primer análisis sobre cómo las revistas académicas del sur global de habla hispana están respondiendo e informando a autores y revisores sobre el uso responsable de la IAG.
