De la seguridad energética en la década de los 70 a una visión sustentable, una revisión de la literatura

Resumen

El objetivo del presente documento es, en primer lugar, identificar los temas centrales dentro de la literatura sobre seguridad energética (SE en adelante) a partir del shock petrolero y finales del siglo pasado. Posteriormente, se discuten los alcances y limitaciones de la visión actual, se resalta la incorporación de temas ambientales y las implicaciones que ello tiene en las recientes discusiones y evaluaciones del tema. Se identifica que la inclusión de temas ambientales en las discusiones actuales de SE puede derivar en un análisis contradictorio al momento de tener que asegurar el acceso a la energía y las repercusiones que tiene el consumo energía (especialmente fósiles) sobre el medio ambiente, los cuales a pesar del cambio tecnológico y la implementación de distintas medidas para reducir su consumo continuarán siendo predominantes en la matriz energética, al menos en los siguientes 30 años. Por otra parte, se reconoce la importancia de las energías renovables en garantizar las nuevas visiones de SE.
