Pasado y presente en la lucha contra la concentración mediática

Abstract

During the last decades, we have seen the development of a critical movement in Latin America and in the world against a dominant mass media. There is an unquestionable concentration of power from which, very few people gain benefit. We can assume that such concentration is greater today than before. Much of that which is being dispersed through media only reinforces the ideas of the dominant class. There is a need to shake up this power concentration, and there is also a necessity to speak out against it in order to have a real and meaningful mass media.
