Imanes como modelos atómicos bidimensionales

Abstract

The interactions of two-dimensional arrays of atoms are simulated with magnets floating on water. The magnets can be used to provide the repulsions at short distances, as well as the attractions at long distances. A computer program reproduces the movements of the magnets, and calculates the energy of any configuration.
