Abstract

In today’s educational context, engaging university students in learning chemistry—particularly those from non-chemistry majors—can be challenging. Gamification, through the use of digital technologies, emerges as a promising strategy to address this issue. This study aims to implement and evaluate online teaching strategies that incorporate playful elements into the chemistry curriculum, with the goal of bringing the subject closer to students at an Argentine university. To assess the effectiveness of the proposed strategy, two questionnaires were administered to students, and data from the virtual learning environment were analyzed. The results indicate a positive reception among students, highlighting the strategy’s usefulness and its potential for transferability to other educational settings.
