The Holy Cross Church to Enrique de la Mora and Félix Candela in San Luis Potosí
Main Article Content
Abstract
Enrique de la Mora and Félix Candela made a contribution to the architecture for religious worship in the city of San Luis Potosí in the early 1960’s, when the owners of the “Industrial Aviación” district –which lies beyond the urban area of the city- commissioned a project for a church dedicated to the Holy Cross (Santa Cruz). The combined structural and architectural designs for the church produced an original and high quality work, with forms and structures previously unknown in the area´s religious architecture. It became a landmark for its neighborhood and for the northern area of city.
